There exists a gender wage gap of 23 cents on the dollar; in other words, women make 77 cents for each dollar made by a man. Some say there are legitimate even good reasons for this disparity. In some instances, of course, this is true. But 25+ years of practicing employment law has taught me beyond a reasonable doubt that in the vast majority of instances there is no reason other than lingering vestiges or actual, daily practice of gender discrimination.
