This fawning assessment in the New York Times, Anthony Kennedy's Roots Seen in Gay-Rights Rulings, anticipates that Justice Kennedy will author the opinion that will be issued this week establishing same-sex marriage as a constitutional right. That's at least a good bet. Justice Kennedy's legacy, however, is and will remain checkered by his equating corporations with people and utter ignorance of the corrosive effect of huge injections of cash into the political process.
