A car wreck on U.S. Highway 23 near Pikeville on Tuesday, December 9, killed three people and badly injured three others, kentucky.com reports, "Crash In Pikeville Kills 3." The wreck happened about 10 p.m. when one car crossed the highway's median and crashed head-on into another. The accident took the lives of Andrew Smith of Perry County, and Ernest Johnson and Christian Beau Caudill, both of Pikeville. Three others were injured and a third car was damaged from debris caused by the wreck.
