A mother and child, Candace Elaine Johnson and her three-year old child, Kaden Johnson, were killed late Friday, March 6, 2009, in a car crash on the Cumberland Parkway near Russell Springs, kentucky.com reports, "Mother and Child Killed In Parkway Crash, Two Other Children Injured." Two other children were evacuated for treatment at the University of Kentucky hospital. The wreck happened about 4:20 p.m. about seven miles east of Russell Springs.
